The Ephraim Yacht Club (EYC) is a community sailing center serving Door County, Wisconsin. The primary purposes of the EYC are education in the sport of sailing and the promotion of amateur sailboat racing. The EYC is located on Eagle Harbor in the beautiful and historic Village of Ephraim.
The EYC is open from early June through late September, but most of the EYC’s organized events are concentrated into the high summer season from mid-June through mid-August.
EYC Club Series Racing / Specialty Regattas:
The EYC hosts a busy schedule of summer sailboat racing for each of its fleets, Flying Scots, Flying Juniors, Lasers and Optimists. There are weekday and weekend races scheduled as well as several annual regattas.
Races are finished for the 2010 season. The 2011 season will include eight weeks of series racing as well as at least six regattas, the Fyr Bal Regatta (Flying Scots), the Family Regatta (Flying Scots), the Optimist Regatta, the Rich Hall Junior Regatta (Flying Juniors), the Women’s Regatta (Flying Scots) and the 106th annual Ephraim Regatta (Flying Scots and International 110s).
EYC membership is required to skipper a boat in an EYC series race. Membership is not required to serve as crew in a series race, nor is membership required to compete in any EYC regatta.
