A hearty welcome awaits you upon your visit to Pointe Claire Yacht Club.
Our club is renowned for its welcoming membership of keen sportsmen in our dinghy, keelboat sailing and powerboat fleets.
Our historic clubhouse location on the finest sailing waters close to Montreal, assures fun filled competitive and cruising sailing as well as relaxing off water activities.
We encourage those who are new or interested in our sport to visit our club, where they can receive training, join and participate in club races, or just enjoy time interacting with other boating enthusiasts.
We look forward to the opportunity of meeting you on your next visit to our club.
The grand old lady dates back to 1879 with treasured memories and history behind every door.
She bustles with activity once the boats are in the water again. We have highlighted a few of these activities on "Services" page which we hope will add to your enjoyment of the "Sailing Season at PCYC".
The harbour is located on the North shore of Lake St. Louis adjacent to the Pointe-Claire city wharf. It is protected from the South by a rock breakwater, with floating breakwaters protecting the east and west entrances.
Within the harbour are 5 docks connected by a main dock and a visitor’s dock. Three of the docks are equipped with fingerdocks with a capacity for 125 slips. On the other two docks and the main dock there are 20 alongside berths. Boats can be accommodated up to 38’LOA, and not more than 12’Beam, weighing less than 10 tons. Space is limited for the largest boats. At the summertime average of two feet above datum the harbour depths run from four feet to over 10 feet.
Installations on docks:
A network of hoses supply the docks with fresh water which can be accessed with a hose connection to a tap. Although the docks have electrical outlets located throughout the harbour, the power is limited to two 110volt circuits which are more for casual use than permanent power for large vessels.
