Buccaneer Yacht Club is a private club for members and guests only. The Club is family oriented and the objectives of this Club are to promote sportsmanship and good fellowship and to encourage and to enjoy the use of sail boats or other pleasure craft. Each year Buccaneer Yacht Club hosts numerous regattas, e.g. Billy Goat Regatta, Spring Regatta, Red Cross' Summer Splash, Middle Bay Light Regatta, Fish Class Worlds Regatta, etc. Every fourth year the Club hosts the world renowned Dauphin Island Race, which is supposed to be the biggest race in the U.S.
