Contest 38
The Contest 38 is a fin & skeg ocean going yacht which is sturdily built to a classic design by Dick Zaal. The Contest brand is world-renowned for their excellent sailing and high standard finish. The Contest 38, has a fibreglass hull and can easily be handled by two crew members.
The boat can be used for long-haul ocean cruises as well as shorter trips, and can be fitted out for long stretches of time living onboard. There are two cabins and four berths with plenty of headroom. The spacious inner areas of the boat are similar to those common in much larger boats, offering comfort as well as manoeuvrability. The Contest 38 handles well in difficult ocean conditions as well as being easy to harbour due to the bow prop.
