Located at the entrance to Camden's inner harbor on the western side of Penobscot Bay, the Camden Yacht Club (CYC) is a vibrant, family oriented club. Founded in 1906, CYC operates seasonally from May - October and is a well-known destination for down east cruisers. The Club prides itself on its customs and traditions, which originated with the grand age of steam yachts.
The CYC summer calendar is full of racing, cruising and social events for its members, as well as a very strong Junior Sailing Program that is open to members and non-members alike. Our Junior Program has produced many fine racers who have gone on to success in college sailing and beyond. Launch service is available to members and guests throughout the season.
Although the Club has a limited supply of guest moorings and floats, visiting yachtsmen and yachtswomen from other Clubs are always welcome to visit our scenic harbor and enjoy our hospitality. Questions regarding CYC facilities can be directed to the Dockmaster. Facilities: The Camden Yacht Club facility has served the boating community since the early 1900's. Launch service, itinerate moorings and inner harbor floats are available to the general public at a fee.
