Situated on the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Townsend’s Inlet, Avalon Yacht Club’s location provides a beautiful backdrop to its members and their guests for activities both on and off the water.
Our Clubhouse offers fine dining as well as a casual grill room for our members and is also available for private events and weddings. Some of the activities offered by our Club include sailing lessons for our youth and adults, sailing regattas for all ages, women’s auxiliary activities, an annual Fishing Tournament, weekly entertainment, and many other exciting events.

The Bay Head Yacht Club has a vibrant membership that enjoys active sailing and tennis programs along with paddle tennis, bridge, and a busy social calendar. The junior sailing program at the Bay Head Yacht Club has grown to more than 130 sailors beginning at age seven learning in Optimists. The size of the program necessitates that the Club manage a fleet of 14 inflatibles to keep a dozen sailing instructors on the water. At older ages, the sailors move up to compete principally in Laser Radials and 420''s.

No need to own and maintain your own boat: If you already know how to sail, You can join as a Community Sailing Member and sail any of the club owned Community Sailing boats that you qualify on.

We offer instruction for 'Juniors' and adults and our programs are open to members and non-members. We are part of the Middle Atlantic Yacht Racing Association (MAYRA) and host and a full schedule of local ocean racing and harbor racing events for both members of CYCCM and of other recognized yacht clubs.

The Toms River Yacht Club was established in 1871 and continues to be one of the most active sailing and social clubs in the Barnegat Bay area. Situated just two miles from the downtown area and the bay, this year round club makes full use of the 1200 feet of waterfront equipped with ninety boat slips on the beautiful Toms River. The long sailing tradition continues at TRYC with juniors racing Optimists, Lasers, and 420s.
Adult members sail and race various fleets, such as Tech Dinghies, Flying Scots, M-Scows, E-Scows, Ensigns, and the large PHRF fleet. Sailors of all varieties can be found enjoying the atmosphere of casual sailing and competitive racing.
