We are based in Granton Harbour, just ten minutes from Edinburgh's city centre. For our boat owning members we maintain swinging moorings in the harbour and our yard provides winter storage for them.The waters of the Firth of Forth, just outside the harbour entrance, are comparable with any for holding major regattas as well as running a packed club racing programme each season for yachts and dinghies.

The east coast of Scotland is not recognised as highly as it should be as a cruising ground but our members sail the coast north and south and of course northern Europe and the Baltic are only a short hop across the North Sea. The Club is an RYA Recognised Training Establishment and conducts a number of courses throughout the year as well as regular training evenings throughout the season. We also own a number of modern dinghies that are available for our members use.

With a history spanning over 130 years, the AYC offers its members a warm welcome in comfortable, traditional surroundings, with some of the most spectacular views of the Thames Estuary. The cliff-top location of the clubhouse opposite the jetty is the ideal place to relax with friends for a drink after a hard day's work. the jetty and slipway are available for members to enjoy some fun out on the water. Ardleigh Sailing Club is a thriving and friendly club situated just outside Colchester, Essex. The 136 acres of water provide an excellent resource for racing, training or just cruising. There are many facilities for family sailors, racers and those who just like to relax and socialise. The clubhouse includes recently refurbished changing rooms, wet and dry lounges, bar and galley. Competitive racing occurs all year round amongst the many different types of dinghy at the club. Sunday morning and Wednesday evening series are both keenly contested. In the winter months, the Winter and Frostbite series see a large influx of visiting boats to take advantage of excellent close racing. During the season a number of open meetings are held for various classes, drawing in competitors from all over the country.

Training is given a high priority at Ardleigh. The water is perfectly suited for beginners and improvers, with it's easy launching facilities and challenging winds. The club has three support boats and a number of trained instructors amongst the committee. Courses are run throughout the summer and there is an active youth scene at the club.

We are a friendly club, positively welcoming new members, whether novices or world champions. We aim to cater for all sailing tastes with our active dinghy, cruiser and windsurfing sections, however powerboats are not permitted at the club. Formed some 50 years ago by sailors from the Harlow area, we are situated at Maylandsea on Lawling Creek, off the tidal River Blackwater. We're about 25 minutes drive from Chelmsford and 10 minutes from Maldon. We own a private wooden jetty extending well out into the creek, permitting sailing some 2 to 3 hours either side of high water. Our well equiped clubhouse provideds extensive views over the creek and saltings and features a bar and galley.

Our home water is the Colne/Blackwater estuary, an area that provides us with sheltered sea sailing at all states of the tides – not to mention some of the most unspoilt coastline in the South.

For racing the location is unbeatable, for pottering, its creeks and rivers offer a lifetime of hideaways to explore and wildlife to discover.

The club boasts excellent facilities – including a wide launching ramp, adjacent dinghy and private car park, large bar and galley and spacious changing rooms.

Our south-facing terrace borders the sandy beach which provides a safe place for the little ones to play whilst mum or dad are sailing.

Creeksea sailing club is located close to Burnham on Crouch with access at all states of tide to the Crouch upstream of the moorings in Burnham. The club caters for both Racing and Cruising members, with a large fleet of Phantom single-handed dinghies.

Facilities include a boat house and changing rooms away from the river frontage, extensive car parking and ample dinghy compound space. Membership costs are very reasonable and the club welcomes all dinghy sailors.

We are open to all classes of monohull dinghies and sailboards, and provide class and handicap racing throughout the year. The main classes currently active at Fishers Green are Solo, Laser, Comet, Cadet, Wineglass, Wayfarer and RS200. Racing is well run with a range of courses that can be varied according to the prevailing conditions. An excellent standard of racing is enjoyed, and FGSC Members have had notable successes in National and International competitions. Fishers Green is home to a flourishing Cadet Squadron, and a band of dedicated parents and instructors are helping to encourage, train and support the next generation of dinghy sailors. Fishers Green Cadets are currently represented in the National and Regional RYA Youth Squads, and new recruits are always welcome. T

We have Oppi dinghies to provide basic training for our younger sailors, and, thanks to the generosity of the Lee Valley Regional Park, we have now also acquired Wayfarer, Topper and Laser dinghies that are available for hire to Members, subject to availability. It is our aim to promote safe sailing for all the family and we not only offer dinghy sailing training days for Members but also fully support all forms of recreational sailing. Our membership includes a number of RYA-qualified Sailing Instructors who are always willing to offer advice if requested, and who can also arrange individual tuition. Members also charter offshore yachts from time to time and opportunities arise to sail to France or the Channel Islands or to undertake coastal cruises from various British ports and marinas.
