SCYC sits on a cliff top at Abersoch, North Wales. With views out across St. Tudwals Islands and Cardigan Bay, and over Snowdonia to the North East, few places offer a more picturesque sailing venue. National, European and World Championships are held here with classes queuing up to book weeks for their next championships. 2005 already has a very full calendar and promises to be every bit as good as 2004.
SCYC has organised races since its founding in 1924 and has hosted many National, European and World Championships. The major annual dinghy events are the Annual Abersoch Dinghy Week and Abersoch Mirror Week are run from the beach. These are run separately from all other events and attract nearly 500 dinghys to the two events.
Sailing takes place in the surrounding waters of Cardigan Bay with races being held for IRC and PYS keelboats, National Squibs, Sportsboats, Seabird Half Raters and various dinghy classes. A launch service operates from the club jetty from May until September which is of course also available to visitors. Bona Fide visitors are encouraged to come and enjoy our facilities in what must be one of the most spectacular sites in the UK

Ashdown Sailing Club is a friendly club with members ranging from very experienced sailors, to novices who have never set foot on a boat before. The club puts crew and boat owners together on club cruises and rallies, both in the Solent area and further afield. The Club sails form the Solent and has Social meetings near East Grinstead.
We offer the chance to regularly meet other enthusiasts and experience the pleasure of sailing in waters such as the Solent, the English Channel, across to France and the Channel Islands. By sailing with and meeting other like-minded people, members can draw on the extensive knowledge of others in a friendly, sociable atmosphere and at a very reasonable cost. We welcome a spectrum, from complete novices, who may only want to see what sailing is all about, to experienced boat owners, who appreciate the advantages of experienced crew and sailing in company. The Club sails from the Solent and has social meetings in Espom.

with a strong family tradition, there are approximately 750 adult members and some 200 juniors and there is storage space for around 100 dinghies in the summer and 40 cruisers in the winter. The Emsworth Mud Slippers Sailing Club was officially formed in 1921, although an interest in sailing can be traced back earlier than this, but it was not until 1963 that the club purchased a home of its own in the Anchor, South Street.
In 1977, the club purchased the long derelict mill and the members started the huge task of making it into the award winning building and thriving sailing club that it is today. ESSC is very much a "members club" relying on volunteers to lead and support all the activities, both on and off the water, and the majority of the members live in Emsworth or nearby.
The object of the club is to encourage amateur sailing and boating and to provide and maintain a clubhouse and social facilities. We have novices of all ages learning to sail and members who are or have been national and international sailing champions and we enjoy competitive but friendly racing in both dinghies and yachts. We enjoy an active social programme and are fortunate to have one of the most attractive clubhouses in Chichester Harbour. The club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and a Volvo Champion Club. We organise a wide range of courses on and off the water for our members throughout the year.
