The Isle Of Sheppey in Kent is a superb sailing environment less than an hour from London, boasting some of the finest sailing waters in the UK. The sailing club is situated at Sheerness on the island's north coast with direct access at all states of tide to an Olympic quality sailing area.
Founded in 1932, our aim is to encourage, promote and facilitate dinghy and catamaran sailing with membership open to all. The sailing waters off the north coast of Sheppey are suitable for all classes of dinghy and catamaran from Optimist to 18ft Skiff, Dart 15 to Tornado Sport.
There is no need to restrict the type of boat allowed at the club. Currently, racing is organised on a handicap basis but we are also keen to establish good fleet racing. We hope to actively establish large fleets of the following:
Dart 18, Laser 4000, Osprey, 29er, RS400/200, Laser
Fleets in the past have included 505s, Ospreys, Scorpions, GP14s, Enterprises, Signets, Int. Moths, Mirrors, Lasers. CYC: Tornado, Dart 15, Dart 18, Hurricane 5.9
