Somerset Youth & Community Sailing Association is a non-profit making, charitable organization, run by volunteers. It was founded in the 1970's to teach people from Somerset or beyond to sail. In 2008 the RYA awarded us Volvo Champion Club and Onboard development status. We also achieved RYA Sailability Foundation status.

Rotherham Sailing Club is a vibrant and competitive family club sailing on Harthill reservoir, which is between Sheffield and Worksop, with easy access from both the M1 and M18 motorways. All boats under 17ft long, which have a Portsmouth yardstick of 1030 or above, are welcome to sail at the club. We have several strong fleets, including Streaker, Enterprise, Topper and Lasers. Other boats sailed Firefly, Miracle, Mirror, Graduate, GP 14, Pico, Leader, Topaz and National 12.

One of the strongest university sailing clubs in the north, we offer full instruction for beginner, intermediates and advanced sailors. We compete regularly in the university team racing circuit and can claim to be one of the top university teams in the North of England.
Ulley Sailing Club is a small friendly sailing club located between Rotherham and Sheffield catering for both racing and casual sailing. Families are especially welcome and the emphasis is on enjoyment - not out and out racing. There are no restrictions on the classes of boat that can be sailed and raced at Ulley. The most popular classes and those, in the opinion of the club, best suited to the reservoir are Enterprise, Laser, Splash Streaker, Topper.

Blithfield is a large reservoir owned by the South Staffs Water PLC, situated approximately 4 miles North of Rugeley in Staffordshire. Racing is run throughout the year and features both class racing for Osprey, RS fleet, Merlin Rocket, Laser, Phantom, and a General Handicap fleet, including catamarans (for boats above PN 864).
There is plenty of room for cruising and if you are new to the sport training is available. The club owns several training dinghies, - excellent craft for introducing complete beginners to sailing.

The North Staffs Sailing Club offers good facilities for both beginners and experienced dinghy sailors alike with only non-powered watersports allowed on the reservoir ensuring that the peaceful surroundings are maintained.
The aim of the Club is to encourage all types of sailors, not just the racing fanatic and beginners to the art are warmly welcomed. Older hands are only too pleased to advise and help. The club has four fully equipped club dinghies, which are available for use by club members free of charge.
North Staffs Sailing Club is a RYA recognised sailing centre and runs a number of introduction to sailing and intermediate level training courses throughout the year.
